I was able to pick up two rifles for $150.00 each and while each has its issues, I could not pass on them for the price.
The first one is a 1942 TurkishAnkara K.Kale 8mm Mauser. I previous owner took sandpaper and what looks to be TrueOil to the stock and bent the bolt handle over. I'm not sure yet because I really haven't had the time to break it down and check things out, but it looks like the metal was coated with something as well. it's shiny-shiny and has a plastic coating look to it.
The bore looks good on this and it will be fun to take it out and see how it does on paper. Not sure what I'm going to do with this rifle, it's really not one I think I would keep in my collection because the stock and bolt handle has been messed with. I would like an unmolested rifle for my collection.
