    My 1903A4

I thought I'd share some pictures of my 1903A4 that I've had for around 5 years now - quite unusual on the ranges here in the UKicon.
Its obviously been through a rebuild - wartime replacement Keystone stock (inverted 'K' in the magazine cut-off relief) and a replacement barrel?
I've done a little bit of work to it since it came into my possession: The bedding of the barrelled action in the stock was terrible and took a bit of work to sort out and a few heavy 'dings' were successfully steamed out.
It was fitted with an M84 scope that I have replaced with a late war M73B (that I picked up while on holiday in the US a couple of years ago) and the correct Redfield mount that I acquired here in the UK.
It shoots beautifully and despite its size and power, the optics are surprisingly good

-It is OK for Yanks to come to the UK looking for No. 4 T stuff. Lend Lease in reverse so to speak.
-It is way past time for all American milsurp to come home.
-The milsurp the rest of the world sold us is ours. They sold it. We own it. End of discussion.
    LOL.
    Nice rifle, Steve
Concur. Give us back our stuph!
That is a nice restoration. Still have the M82? It's worth some $$$ now.

    C'mon chaps......
Isn't often it happens this way round - nearly all of our decent stuff (because of the UKs crappy firearms laws) ended up in the US!
I've re-imported two rare Lee Enfields in my collection back into the UKicon from the States

The M82 (in its mount) sold to a collector in the UK and actually covered more than the costs of the M73 and its mount

I managed to get my M82 with a 03 that I suspect was sporterized at Springfield Armory. I have the CMPicon papers and the National Park Service not only confirmed his presence but also told me which building he was housed in. It had G&H QD scope mount with a Lyman 48 rear aperture sights. The rifle was sold to him for a mere $15 because of a "defect" which was laughably minor. The front sight was loose thus it waas substandard. Can you say collusion?

I'm sure I've seen that lovely rifle somewhere, perhaps wind swept Welsh Mountains last November!

My A3 (A4 build) was playing that day too, although not as nice, it's still great fun to shoot....
