    No. 1 MK 3 GRF 1949 - Wire Wrapped

My son was at a gun store looking for rifles; he was asking me about a Vetterli he had found and then told me, "There is an Enfield here, but someone messed it up... they wrapped wire around it." Because of you folks here post information and history, I was able to tell him that the wire was there because the rifle was used to launch grenades.

It was confirmed when he talked to the store owner and was told that it came with a Grenade Launcher, but because of California Law, it was removed.

So sad, if he'd known on the spot because it was in such nice shape.

Those grenade cups are available. Very fun to shoot tennis balls from, when used correctly. If it's legal for you, it's very easily replaced.

I did buy the Enfield, I told him to ask if the store still had the launcher. California is such a pain.
