I have an uncut -9SA op rod that needs a new piston.
I'm a shooter not a collector; an op rod that doesn't work isn't much use to me.
If I re-piston and repark I'd expect it would lose whatever collector value it may have.
So if it won't have much collector value I'm wondering if I might as well have a relief cut done at the same time?
No, I'm not afraid of shooting an uncut rod; my first CMPM1
has one and I shot it in competition for several years. No, I don't plan to shoot any rifle grenades.
But I don't need to have a non-collector op rod on a competition rifle crack either.
