PZF 44 - 2A1 optics

Hi all. I have a couple of these optics and I have two different versions. One has a rail on top with what looks like a lens on top. Does anyone know what it is?

I found a few places advertising something that looks identical and they are calling it a launching optic, for what exactly I don't know. Seems to be German in origin and the ones I saw also had a case.hth

Yep its for the panzerfaust 2 RPG in 44mm. Im more wondering what the lens on one of the optics is for. I think it may be for a night vision or light up for the lens but im not sure. Im seeing if anyone else knows.
