    1 Nov 2022 03 Picture of the Day - OT but interesting

    Omaha Beach, 7 june 1944. Pvt Vincent M. Killen, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was killed in action on June 21, 1944 at Saint-George-d'Elle. He is buried at the Normandy American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, Plot J - Row 15 - Grave 23.



    Death of Vincent M Killen
    Date of Death: June 21, 1944
    Died at Age: 18 years
    Day of Death: Wednesday
    Time since death: 28624 days = 78 years

    I assume it's an M1903A3. But seeing there is no grip on the stock or even a scant grip might just be an M1903.
