    03 A3 Metal Finish

Need some help figuring out what gets blued and what gets parked on my A3 sporter rejuvenation. Serial # is 3506xxx if that makes a difference.
    Thanks!

The barreled receiver, front sight base, bayonet band, and safety lock are parkerized. Everything else is blued.

I always thought the bayonet band was blued for Remingtons. Mine and several examples I have seen look like the same finish as the butt plate.

The bayonet band on early production Remington M'03-A3's was parkerized. For mid and later production rifles, the finish was changed to blue. The ed skeels rifle is early production.
