I picked up 2 enfields today,
1) An Iraq marked BSA 1939 no3 numbers except bolt match, has an Iraqi unit stock disc. Will post more later.
2) A #'s matching Long Branch 1944.
Both were dirty, some surface rust and needed some work but the right price.
The numbers on the Long Branch match receiver, magazine and wood. The sight is the classic Savage 300/600 flip which I believe are sometimes found on these rifles. But once I got it apart with wood pictured below is also Savage marked. It also seems to have a Canadianacceptance mark and what looks like a Greek acceptance (maltese cross)? No FTR or other marks. Wanted peoples thoughts.
thanks
