    That looks like Tarawa, a serious blood bath for both sides some block houses were so constructed they had to bulldoze them as the usual ways could not knock them out.
    A true war of attrition and a pretty big wake up call on what was to be expected of a desperate enemy like a mini Somme.
    RIP to those brave souls who perished in that hell.
