We still had one of these at Ft. Dix, NJ during basic training. The Vietnam Village. Complete with tunnels and booby traps. I believe several US basic training bases had these "Villages" Vietnam had just got done (US involvement) but they were still training for a Vietnam jungle environment. The last time I got on base was in the 2000's. It was still there but run down and the tunnels were filled in with sand that washed in from the rain.
