Ok I'll ask...what's at the end of the barrel on the Sargeant and the next mans rifle and what about those gas plugs? They don't look like granade launcher.

Blank Firing Adapter M1 Garand
Back in 1987, I bought 6 blue sky Garands to rebuild. took the worst one out to the dump with the BFA attached and proceeded to rip through a clip or two. Had 1,000 blanks for $10.00. The was BFA attached to the gas cylinder and remained so as the assembly launched into the dump never to be seen again.

The sargeant with the BFA on his M1also has the holes in his stock for the mounting screws for the M15 grenade launching sight.
Only the Sgt. got the M1907 sling?
