    Not necessarily a lefty, we were taught to carry our weapons pointed to the left while in a column on the right side. If single file, then every other man would carry left-handed. It supposedly increased reaction time if ambushed.

    Of course, the second man in line didn't get the memo and the last guy didn't care or is the medic.

    Just a question from an observation with the squad would you normally have your automatic weapon/s (BAR here) up front where it could be taken down with an initial contact, was this unusual or was practised to keep it more in the center of the squad.
    Although we cannot see who is ahead of them, well at least the photographer is!
