    one of the Thompson books states the M1icon with the floating firing & hammer has the highest rate of fire - so high- they were given a
    war time waiver. Now were not including the Thompson Colt 1921 as a war production example but was used at the start of WW2

    I didn't hear that, yes the '21 would be substantially higher. Thus the model of '21/28, not to be confused with the '28/21.
