Honey I need a Bigger Safe: 1976 Leopard 1A5 Tank

I'd buy this, but my wife would approve of a bigger gun safe.

Can anyone think of a "plausible excuse" to explain the appearance of one of these on one's property to one's wife?

"Honey, look, there's a tank out there! You'd better go hide in the basement all day while I sort this out."

I had one of those on the road when I took advance driver maintenance course in '92... I declined to take the course content on that vehicle as I was infantry but we drove them anyway. I do have one round here for the gun...second from right.

Might make my commute take quite a bit longer, but much more satisfying. So many arrogant dolts, so little road.

The rarer brass case Jim I've 2 x steels one sports a prac A.T round and I have 1 brass case that I'm waiting to fit the 105 H.E round to but one of those turning up will be very scarce indeed.

usabaker ~ one would have a mighty hard time explaining that one away perhaps won it in a chook raffle down the pub! downfalls would be very harsh on your lawn & driveway with the resultant fuel bill keeping you in good stead with petroleum companies.
Lastly you would never have to worry about traffic jams or fender benders as no one in their right mind would tangle with ya!

Pic of the one in Collie 100 kliks from my house apparently they are supposed to be filled with concrete & welded shut, god our country is so backward no wonder the rest of the planet does not know where we are.....

Probably just not heavy enough. Wouldn't want it flipping over in a stiff breeze.

We use brass so not scarce here. Let me know when you want one and we'll arrange procurement and shipping.

Yer but, there must be ways of removing the set concrete from the said tank. You could "attack it" with a "jack hammer" which may require a fair amount of physical effort or you could "explore" less "labour intensive" methods, such as, immersing the tank in a vat of very strong acid and allowing the concrete to slowly dissolve.
