what could her thoughts have been????

Story and Photo in today's Newsminer....

FAIRBANKS -- North Pole police are searching for a woman who held bank employees at gunpoint this morning, but did not demand any money from them.

The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. at the North Pole branch of Key Bank.

The woman, a white female who appears to be in her 40s, brandished a silver revolver and ordered the two employees to the floor at gunpoint. She did not demand any cash.

“It doesn’t look she was trying to rob the bank,” North Pole police Chief Paul Lindhag said. “It looks like she had another agenda.”

Lindhag refused to elaborate on what that agenda may have been.

By the time police arrived at the bank, the woman had already fled the scene. It appears she left in a vehicle, but police did not get a good description of it.

At the time of the incident, the woman was wearing a red sweatshirt, red gloves and blue pants.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call North Pole police at 488-6902, Alaska State Troopers at 451-5100 or Fairbanks police at 459-6500.

Contact staff writer Chris Freiberg at 459-7545.

North pole is a small community. With a good picture like that I'm sure she's already aphrehended.

I am wondering why the Sarah Palin haters have not jumped on this story. Surely Palin put this gal up to it.

Or for sure she's a long lost 3rd cousin twice removed.

With that red sweater, could it have been Mrs. Claus?
    Had the employees been "naughty"?

What kind of vehicle was it? A sleigh pulled by reindeer?

Shouldn't be too hard to catch her. I mean, there can't be more than a couple of roads in and out of the North Pole.

    - change it back -

Updaete> they found her, took about 5 different cops from other cities in the brough to include the Alaska State Police to pick her up in her home about 15 miles from Noth Pole. latest story from the DA is that she was looking for help from the police for a domestic violence issue, she ask for help from cops but they didn't show for that, so she went to the bank and tried to get them there. but they didn't show up there either, thats why they were out looking for them.....syill no reason why they didn't show up untill after she left. http://www.newsminer.com/news/2009/a...mestic-violen/

Apparntly in that town the cops are not minutes away, they just don't bother at all.

    911, government sponsered dial-a-prayer.
