I think Lynyrd Skynyrd wrote a song about this: "Ooh ooh that smell".
Reminds of a movie line, "You better get use to it. It's the smell of eternity." Movie- "Secret Invasion" line by Henry Silva.
In the movie, Mickey Rooney was digging a grave yard to enter a Nazi fortress when he came upon one of the recent "internees" and came out the hole gasping for air. That's when Henry Silva said that line. Mickey Rooney replied you don't say much but when you do it's creepy.
