I’m focused on model 1903s now

After long break from collecting, I’ve become interested in this amazing piece of American ingenuity craftsmanship and history, and I’ll start posting some pictures of the nice rifles that I’ve collected over the past six months.

Is their someone on the forum here that I can share my serial numbers with to see if they can run them in SRS to see if there’s any hits?

It was certainly similar to the Mauser. Mauser got it right with the '98, and there isn't much that anyone has done to improve on that design in 126 years. But, my recollection is that the only patent infringements Springfield committed were the spitzer bullet (which the '03 wasn't originally designed for and everyone now uses) and one other feature and I forget what that was. Was it the extractor?

Was there another service rifle to endure so many foul-ups in development yet stay in service so long and with such production numbers?
