    9 Aug 2024 M14 Picture of the Day



    Men of the 9th U.S. Marine Expeditionary Force scramble out of a landing barge and onto the beach at Da Nang in South Vietnam, March 8, 1965. They were ordered to the area to bolster defenses around the air base at Da Nang against possible VietCong attacks.

    As we are not quite seeing the entire handguard yet can see his supporting hand how can you determine there is no magazine in the first weapon?

    Because it looks like a Garandicon at first glance lol. Those 20 rounders are big and heavy when full. It looks like a parkerized box of ammo sticking down from the middle.
