Does that first GI on the right have a luger holster or a P38 holster?

I think it's a P38. There was a Police holster like that but still different, here's an example.

I'm thinking Walther PP. Note the retaining tab goes up to the button, rather than down, The tab appears folded over at the flap.

It looks a bit large for a PP, I'm thinking P38 or one of the foreign oddballs they used.

It looks an awful lot like this P35 Random holster.
A Polish knock off of the Hipower.

Could well be any of several German captured pistols. The Radom is about the same size as a 1911, and that should be almost twice the length of the GI's mag pouch. The holster appears a bit smaller than that to me, but I don't know.

I'm looking at the extreme left GI and his holster it almost looks like the grip is curved like a revolvers instead of a 1911 but could just be the camera angle.
If it is a revolver perhaps he took a leaf out of Patton's book in having wheel guns no ivory handle though showing the disparity in pay grades.
