    Bob the tank seems reminiscent of what the Germans did if there was a chance of the AFV being captured they plugged the barrel and fired a round hence the nice petal muzzle brake!
    It then appears the AFV has been lit up to destroy not only the internals but the armor as well the intense heat ruined the hardness of it.

    One things the Germans did with the Tigers was to drain the oil from the twin recuperators then remote fire the main gun the resultant unobstructed recoil forces drove the whole assembly backwards unchecked and destroyed the main gun that way or pack the tank with explosives and boom!

    I think that whole procedure went the way of the Do-do as war went on, many were captured just run out of gas.
