I'd love to warm it up a bit but I doubt it would stand up to jobs like the BAR did. Just not heavy duty enough.

Charlton? Yes, as shown it was developed for it from Bren mags.

Perfect timing. GCAjournal just came this week with a feature article on the T20E1. I don't see a selector lever on the OP photo. Is this a followup or predecessor prototype to the T20E1?
Many years ago, I modified an M1 rifle barrel with a new gas system that worked too. Glad I saved a few photos.![]()

It was interesting and the M60 bipod came from a salvage yard. I had intended to use a lightweight barrel jacket but went on to other projects, when I realized that the M14barrel would fit and index into an M1 receiver.
