anyone know how to date a H&R trapper

ive been finding info that is contradicting ,archived posts from a internet search say one thing and a article written says another , but its explanation of dating is confusing because they lump it in with the 1906

the archived posts on various forums say if the cylinder free spins with the hammer down its a very early model , and the saw handle grip came later , mine does not have the saw grip and the cylinder does free spin with the hammer down , they said that was changed shortly after production started

the article makes no mention of the free spin and says that the saw handle grip were on the early ones and was omitted later , there is no mention of model 722 on it anywhere , i would think once the model 722 designation was created it would be found on the piece somewhere

im thinking after rereading the article its between 1939 and 1941 production , long cylinder pin , now saw handle grip
