    Bolt serial number thread

I’m new to the Enfield Rifleicon ownership, sort of, it’s an Ishapore 2A1. Anyhow, as I recall, there was (or either discussion of) a thread on here for bolt numbers. Folks could post what they have in hopes of finding the correct rifle/ bolt match? I can’t seem to find it, or did it ever get started?
    Thanks,
    Randy

    Hi Randy,

The 2A1 rifle i have has a mismatched bolt. I believe somewhere along the time someone installed a standard 303 bolt in the rifle. I believe this is the case because it does not extract a 308 case. Even though the bolt is the same, the 2A1 rifles had a different extractor claw profile to grab the rimless 308 case. I have purchased the correct extractor, but i have not changed it yet. I have not shot the rifle and will not shoot the rifle, so any headspacing issues wont be a concern to me.
