I see a plastic bag over the muzzle, I fail to see any warping.

I wonder if the muzzle cover could be aluminum foil? To me it looks like some kind of Thanksgiving dinner is happening because that looks too big to be a chicken leg, looks more like a turkey leg they are eating, with rolls and an apple and what looks like mashed potatoes. I don't know how they prepared or packaged those type of servings but aluminum foil might have played a part like wrapping the turkey legs and the GI may have removed his turkey leg and put it around his muzzle before eating. Just my WAG
