    Identifying a No.4 Mk. 1 replacement barrel

I recently picked up what seems like a new old stock No. 4 Mk. 1 barrel that is only marked "VB 1958." I assume, "1958" is the year of manufacturer. I assume "VB" is the source. Does anyone know what what "VB" represents?

    Interesting. No other markings?

No other markings. The barrel has a beautiful deep blue and bore. Here are two pics:

It is possible that Vincenzo Bernardelli (VB) made spare Enfield barrels? VB was an abbreviation used by Bernardelli on pistols and it seems the Italian Army and Navy received No. 4 Mk. 1's post WWII.

Your theory makes sense as from your link they have a history of military arms. Bernardelli might confirm it if you asked?
