Your rifle appears to be one of those put together out of parts by Bannerman or Sedgley. Gary Cooper used one very similar in some scenes in "Sergeant York".

Looks like a Bannerman or a Sedgley or some strange mixmaster. That is a Kragicon rear sight silver soldered to an 03 RSFB. Pull the buttplate and see if it has its lightening holes. The serial number would sure help.

It appears you have a Bannerman or Stokes-Kirk rifle built out of surplus manufactured parts. The rear sight base is a made up out of an '03 sight base and a Kragicon rear rifle sight, similar to a rod bayonet rifle rear sight base.. The upper band is from an Enfield 1917 rifle. If you look at the trigger guard, it may be a modified Enfield example. It is a nice appearing rifle, however, it is not a collectable rifle. It is worth somewhere around $400 or less. Some of these made up rifles did not use a modified trigger guard. If that is the case the magazine well of the stock has not been modified. The Enfield trigger guard is wider and require removal of quite a bit of wood from the inside of the magazine well.

You would do well to continue to look for an original rifle with all military parts.

Piles of Hollywood guns have appeared in the last 6 years. The big movie studios dumped this stuff. Bannerman(?) gun, pass on it. find a buddy who knows the '03 rifle, good luck.

If your parting it out, I would be interested in the Kragicon sight parts. Please drop me an email.
