    Pattern 1903 bayonet markings

I have a Pattern 1903 bayonet which was converted from the P-1888 bayonet and would like to know if these are unit markings ?

According to my copy of Skennertonicon's broad Arrow, T.H could be Tower Hamlets ( a county or area title).

    Hope this is of use.

Why would the number be too high? The crossed out number would be a rack mark and the other, the rifle serial number. They certainly made enough SMLE's that that number would not be odd.

Numbers on UKicon 1907 rarely go over three digits, the TH unit would no be more than a few hundred men at most, the rack numbers are usually by unit not all encompassing for the whole series as then it woudl run into the millions
