Un-quality
Why were US&S receivers stamped UN-QUALITY when purchased by QHMC but more conventionally stamped U when subcontracted by NPM? Who's idea was that? Was there any conflict between US&S and QHMC at the time or was QHMC's name choice just trying to be funny or ... ?

In their paper "Production of War Material 1940-1945" by US&S there is no mention of marking the receivers for either QHMC or NPM. Only the bolts manufactured by US&S were mentioned as being finished, and that was in Du-Lite.
