I don't recall ever seeing a late UEF stamp on a birch stock.
Are there any markings in the slingwell or possibly on the top of the forward barrel channel?
Sure makes for a nice looking stock.
Cheers,

And a much better way to decorate than using throw pillows (don't sit on it though).

Hello Charlie. No marks in the barrel channel, however, in the sling well there is a S something then a C something....perhaps an R, P or H? This is the best picture I could take. I have never seen these initials before. Regards, Rick.

It took me a few minutes...... Then Wham the differences jump right out at me.
Guess I was caught up in.... Do we have another cross support stock here?
Very similiar to the stamp we seen like this a short while back.
So if this stock came from What A Country......... Where or when did it get stamped?
Makes for the shooting stock he wanted, but a shame a SCB was the victim.
Appreciate your help Brian,
Charlie

Guys, all I wanted for my PM action was a nice stock with a US cartouche of some kind. When I saw the Birch stock on WAC's site it just jumped out to me....and the price with handguard was under $175 delivered. Should this be set aside for a special rifle? If so, I can find another stock. Is the "incorrect" crossed cannons bad? Is it a counterfeit? Regards, Rick.

Whatacountry does not hump stocks. They have pallets of them and they came straight from the Govt.

I saw this stock or one just like it on WAC's web site and was wondering about it. It looked like a handstamped S&C-.U. I saved the pic but can't find it now. I thought about buying the one they had listed a week or so ago just to look at it in person. I guess the question is, is there any record of sprauge & carelton ever send any stocks to underwood? As for the cartouche my underwoods are the earlier style so I have no control to compare it to. So no comment from me on that!
