No it would need a type 3 mag catch . The same for the safety a type 3. The type 4 mag catch & safety all have a W stamped on them.

Right, type 3 safety and type 3 mag catch with EW or W on both. The stocks for that gun are out there, but finding a nice one is the trick. By the way, my serial number is very close to yours, probably made at the same time. Does anyone know what the correct rear sight for that Winchester serial range would be? Mine has the type two on it, but I know the change over was about in the time frame. Thanks !

My ser.# 5754231 is around Nov. 1944 . I think the milled rear sight started in the lat fall of 44. I gues I could use the type 1 or type 2 rear sight.

The barrel band looks to me to be a Winchester type 2.

I believe you'd want to use either a type 1 or type 3 (stamped) rear sight as the milled ones didn't start showing up until around the 6.5 million serial number range.

I think your butt plate is QHMC. I have a Type 2 Winchester trigger I'll trade you for that hammer.
edit: Butt plate is probably NPM
