Lance,
Thx. I think I know the gentleman concerned. He does get a lot of nice stuff & usually exhibits at the big Belgian show I sometimes go to. However I would agree his prices have always been on the high side; but then again if he has the scope off 'your' rifle...........
Good Hunting!

Why it's my garage sale fantasy come true!
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
Edward Bernays, 1928

To be brutally honest, and I could be overstepping the mark a bit, but knowing a tiny weeny bit about optical instruments and how delicate they can be at the best of times, this doesn't seem to me like the best was to advertise a whole pile of telescopes for sale. Putting them into what I'd call a f-----g great pile seems a bit, er.........., well, careless somehow. Maybe 10 seconds lined up on a table would look a little more presentable and thoughtful. But maybe it's just me being a bit old fashioned. That's age for you!
Just checked out the numbers on my great pile of serial numbers and against 8588 I have annotated '.....seen numbered on ex T butt fitted to a DP rifle'. So we know where the telescope and the butt are ........................

Ah, enlightening Taff. But they were still in a xxxxing great pile to start with! I know what I'd have said if I saw a load of pretty tough and hardy SUSAT sights thrown into a cupboard like that................. and it wouldn't have made pleasant listening I can tell you. Anyway......................

Never seen so many APX units in one place before.

Well, if it's who I think it is he's French
, so he might just have a bit of a predilection towards his own country's kit!
