L42A1 - genuine?

Hello All

I was the lucky winner of the L42, and am indeed a member (allbeit a sleeping one to date) of the forum.
I have been a keen collector and shooter of Enfields for around 20 years.
They ranged from a 1867 Snider Enfield, 1875 Enfield produced Martini Henry, LSA Long Lee Metford, 1915 BSA SMLE to a 1942 Savage No4
Last year I took the plunge and sold most of them (I couldn't let the Martini Henry go as my wife bougt it me for may 40th birthday!), and some others to buy my No4T - a lovely all matching M47c 1944 vintage (Roger may remember he gave me his much appreciated opinion via email of it prior to me buying it last October).

It has given me a huge amount of enjoyment so far and I now have found the handload that suits it best, resulting in a keyhole 5 shot group at 100 yds.
I keep meaning to post some pictures of the rifle and the offending Huns head target.

When this L42 came up on the forum I thought I would have a go and was amazed I got it for that price (my wife was sat next to me when I put the winning bid in as well, so no problems there) - I know that you take a bit of a chance without seeing it in the flesh, but we'll see.

And after all Fultons sold their last one a few months ago for an astounding £6,500!

I'll make sure that pics are loaded (assuming I can work out how to do it) as soon as the L42 arrives.
As a tester I'm hopefully attaching an image of a target shot with the No4T.

43 grains of R15 pushing a Sierra match King 174 grain bullet, pretty well maching service velocity. 5 rounds, 100 yards on a very cold and wet range in South Wales.........

Though eGun usually has no "good" collectors items during Summer, it appears that they're currently a good source for Enfields. Here's another one from a German dealer, a No. 9 in nearly pristine condition with a Parker-Hale sight:
