Used to have one. SN was 11816. Exactly the same markings. Beech wood and MkI forend with relief for mag cutoff. Scope number was 1423 IIRC at this time of night.
Mine did not have the T stamp or TR, too early for that. As yours has staked pad screws we learned from Peter's books that it was in UK
service till after WWII when that was done. Probably the T stamp was added at the same time.
Several others of these have been shown and discussed here over the years, all the same but for the variations in "T" stamps. Can't recall if any had the "TR" stamps, but those seem to have been added to a few early rifles in some cases.
