Stock question
Greetings fellers: I have aquired a 1903 #825259,it has a staight stock with an A with a 3 in it on right side below bolt,FJA,7/16 P in a circle,square cut band spring recess,X and bomb on end,4 sub inp. marks in front of trigger guard,RIA over EB in box on right butt,SA 7-42 4 groove barrel,all milled furniture. Any ideas? thanks---Turk

It sounds like what you have is a rebuild.FJA (Frank J Atwood) RIA EB (Elmer Bjerke). That is a post war stamp.

I have no information on the "A with a 3 in it" beneath the bolt handle. I can't say that I've seen that particular marking.
I am not certain about the "X" on the fore end tip. But, the bomb is an ordnance inspection mark and is very common on Remington stocks.
