Scott Duff has a book out on WW2 Garand
and it has examples of the rifles in the back. It has a basic list by serial number and year of production for just such a purpose...worth looking up on line. You'll need it again.

Thanks for the reply. I have the date and month of manufacture, by serial number, for each manufacture of the M1
Garand. What I am looking for is a list of the parts in the Trigger Housing Assembly, by drawing number, that was assembled in the Trigger Housing. Example is a trigger housing stamped with the catalog drawing number of D28290-12-SA. Within that housing was a safety Stamped SA 11 and a Hammer stamped C46008-7 SA, were these the correct parts assembled for that trigger housing. What other parts were assembled with that Trigger Housing and what were there drawing numbers.
Is this information available? I see reference made in several areas on the internet, but never a compiled list or where the information came from.
I have found this site, M1 Garand Armory, very helpful. However, it does not include everything and examples are missing on most items.

As Jim noted, page #228 data is close to what your looking for, or page 38 of his Serial Numbers & Data Sheets.

The book you want is paper cover, blue, long and thin. You can get it on his web site easily.

Go to:
Garand Info, Blueprints, Posters, Mouse Pads, Coffee Mugs
Scroll down to the nomenclature catalogs and see if there is one you would want. If you can't decide try contacting Eric to see if he has something that would be what you're looking for regarding part number identification.

Try this website - pretty complete listing by Manufacturer and Serial Number - you can even print out the list. Keep in mind that no source knows 100% of what Springfield, etc, ACTUALLY DID during a shooting war.... CC
