EBay could cure all these shysters simply by making every question asked AND answer appear on the description. Then you's see the question and the evasive or non answer. Clearly some crapheads will be asking stupid questions but experience has taught us all a few polite and diplomatic but totally devastating put-downs. But I won't be holding my breath

Ebay
Peter,
The sad thing is he has yet another set he found in the 500.........I'll be watching for it, and as you say, a real shame Ebay don't allow comments to be attached and visible for the unfortunate buyers to see. There were a few bidders too!

It's all about money. Ebay doesn't give a rat's rear end about corruption. That brave new world rearing it's ugly head again.

I have no idea who the seller is but at least in this auction he has been "honest" with his description in that it is stated as being "new" he has not ascribed it to any particular rifle only to say that the "tiger stripe" may have been done for a sniper rifle. The pictures are there for all to see and unlike the recent "Flanders Flap" con where the seller deliberatley set out to con what you see with this is what you get.
A huge amnount of No4 woodwork has recently come onto the market with quite a few people trying to push it out through ebay and this seller seems to get the top end of the bidding for his lots marked or otherwise.
Whilst the informed members of this and other forums would not touch them with a barge pole there seem to be plenty of people who are quite prepared to part with good money for any number of items on ebay that appear to have even the faintest connection with "Snipeing". You only have to read the "hype" that surrounds some of the items that appear and the prices that are sometimes achieved to understand why some items are described even losely to try and achieve a better price. We now collect in a world full of fakes trying to be the real thing so do the homework before parting with the cash and it should help to avoid to many burnt fingers.
