The GCA

sells a series of books each containing the best of the back issues of the GCA Journals. The current book, Number 4, ends with the Fall 1999 edition. Each volume contains "the best" of 12 issues. Keep your eye opened for Book 5 and future volumes. Book 5 should contain Winter 1999 (Vol. 13, # 1) through Fall 2002 (Vol. 15, # 4)

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Joe I have the first four and they are full of knowledge. Great to hear about a fifth volume. My advice anyone who loves the Garand icon

is join the GCA icon

(Garand Collectors Association) get the books $30 each and the magazine is worth the $25 yearly membership. And you formally join the brotherhood and organization that solely exist to promote and educate and even entertain its members on our Garand rifles.
