A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Guys,I have been in this awhile and I havent seen the prices you are talking about for years.
I will take every all Correct 1941 Garand icon

for $1500 you want to sell

The flush nut sight was replaced by the type 1 lockbar, then type 2 & 3. As the flush nut sights were replaced during overhaul they were scrapped. Why save a superseeded part?
They are hard to find because of this so, supply & demand.

Been awhile since I posted pictures. My 41 lend lease and my 42. The 41 is almost identical to the one in the semi recent GCA icon

Great rifle! Good luck with it! I notice the front sight has a plug over the set screw. Am I correct that this is a lead plug and that not many Garand icon

's today still have that plug in them? If so, to me, that makes the rifle even more interesting. Not sure if that is an urban legend....

Its a metal cap put over the sight screw and no not many are found this way.

Yes, the front sight screw seal was about number 2 of the changes...the round firing pin being probably the first...there aren't many of either left. I have them though.
