Question on DP Marked Bayonets

Attachment 50823Attachment 50824Thanks for the info. Well on the subject of bayonets I did pick up a nice one at a local show yesterday. I have been looking for one for a while. If I read the markings correctly it is a 1907 model made in 1914 I think by EFD (very hard to read) and refurbished in 1928 if I am correct in assuming the '28 means that. The blade is in great shape and has a lot of cosmoline on it but appears unsharpened, The scabbard is really nice with no cracks. No markings except a tiny M44. The frog is a strange color more of a blue green and the markings have faded away. Asking price was $100 but we ended up at $80 so I was very happy. T'was a good day as I also picked up a nice bayonet for my Steyr M95. Just one lone Enfield on sale though. A No5 that seemed in nice shape but the wood had been sanded, and the bolt head over clocked to somewhere between 10 and 11. The asking price was $500 which is now cheap in this area for a No5.
