P14 Finished
Finally finished the P14 project. This time it was repaired correctly. Re-oiled and sent home. Hard to tell it was ever broken. It was a lot of work, but a feeling of satisfaction when I was done.
Best Regards.....Frank

When we were doing woodwork during my apprenticeship you'd occasionally get a pat on the back for something spectacular or spectacular patch that you'd done (nope......, never happened to me!) but you could always tell when you'd done a nice piece of work, such as a finish or a patch as 'Paddy' Reilly would take the piece down to the staff-room during their coffee/tea break. The instructors would presumably all pass comment on it and afterwards, he'd mention it to you.
I think your fore-end would have been taken to the staff-room Frank. These patches, done properly, glued and pegged last forever!
