The kits are currently being reproduced in the USAicon, starting with an absolute shed full of spares supplied from the UKicon. I think the blokes details have been published on the forum a few times

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... Peter I did offer to bring them in to the UKicon if I could get the numbers, this was some time back and Brian said he would do a one off to ship them over, think there was only 3 of us interested Myself Mr clark included, just wasn't viable considering the cost...... I did send a few emails regarding the shipment of unfinished parts or a chance to make them here under licence, but never come to anything........... so just a waiting game, I,m not in any rush (in fact have a few olive drab/ nato green box,s of various sizes that need filling with various items)

Maybe it's time to chivvy him up again...... But as to prices, and I don't know the going price of a genuine L12 kit in the UKicon (any ideas anyone.....?) its the same old story. The remanufactured kits will cost MORE tomorrow!

I'd be very interested too so you could definitely count me in if/when it comes up again. I've been looking for ages for a kit for my straight pull Imbel Fal and looking enviously at the progress of these new ones on the FALFiles thread wondering if/how we could get some over to the UK.

i did get in on the ground floor of the group buy on the FAL forums site , i received mine and i have test fired it , it functioned perfectly , and when i ran a mag as fast as i could it never hiccuped once , at 50 yards i was happy with that - particularly since it was stock iron sights and my old eyes with a target that was not perfect for the purpose ,

I'm sure we had mozzies and sand flies that big attacking my pale pommy skin and eating me alive at Shoalwater Bay/Rockhampton. They liked the bromide the cooks put in the tea!
