What Mk2* are we on about?
Sorry, I intended to type MK1* but was tired.
Does anyone know if only one sight was fitted originally at the factory during WW2 or more than one type of sight to the No4 MK1*, please?

Long Branch No.4Mk.1* rifles were fitted with early Long Branch manufacture Mk.1, (rare), Mk.II, Mk.III and C Mk.3 rear sights at the factory. Most Long Branch rifles dated 1942 and 1943 were fitted with Mk.II sights. The Mk.III sights were fitted starting at some point in 1944 and the C Mk.III throughout 1949 and 1950 production. They are distinctly different than the British
Mk.III which has an additional washer fitted.
Savage No.4Mk.1* rifles were fitted early on with Savage manufacture Mk.1 sights but they are rare and usually only seen on unaltered Mk.1 rifles. The remaining production from 1942-1944 were fitted with the Mk.II sight.
