Ross M1912 .22 trainer
What's that old saying? When it rains it pours? Mere days after getting my first Ross, I run into this little Ross trainer and it follows me home. Never knew these existed. Enjoy the pics!

Nice looking little rifle, an friend of mine had one, has one...and brought it to a club sanctioned shoot at our range. It's smooth and worked well for the speed competition we had.

Very nice find! It's unusual to see one of these without stock markings. Apparently most of them went to schools, cadet corps etc. and are so marked. You could remove that grafted-on open sight and have the dovetail cut filled. Anything in the butt trap?
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
Edward Bernays, 1928

Nothing in the trap, unfortunately.
I put a few rounds through it today, and it is pretty darned accurate.
