Well the best thing about this stock is it has a Winchester recoil plate in it. I doubled checked the stock again and there is no 50 stamped there.

Charlie, What kind of beer do you want? Let me know and I will stock up on it for you. Now I knew I had seen this stock before but I did not place it. It was one of three I bought out of Texas. I really wanted the Rock-Ola I cut and this along with a cracked Inland were the others.

I quit drinking years ago Bruce, after I'd made Jim Beam and Dickel my bestest friends.
What are you up to with the extra stocks ?
Project ?

I'm not sure yet what I will do with the other two stocks. I will most likely have to send the Rock-Ola to old what's his name. You know the guy. He works on stocks and can't walk and chew gum at the same time. Frank yes that him. ( lol ) The Inland is very dirty but would clean up nice but it has a crack that runs from the magazine well inside to the outside and forward almost to the end. I will have to clean this first to see if it can be saved. The IR stock I have nothing planned with it as of yet. Do you need it or the Inland for a project?

Yea, Ole Limpy.... too many years of 'Sweeping the leg' finally caught up with him :-)
Bruce, Your not buying from the "This Stock has been Restored and Preserved" guy from Fort Worth Texas, Who adds a Crossed Cannons Re-Stamp as part of his Restoration... Are you?
Just poking I know your smarter than that.
I just seen a few more completed and current Auctions by him, same game. Glue, Epoxy, Brass Rods and Fake em up and get the guys to dig deep into their pockets. IMO- I can only believe guys are buying these to throw their actions in to pass them off for bigger bucks. Case of Seller is as guilty as the buyer, who falsely resells for profit. But I'll say again: This seller is disclosing what he is doing as far as the Re-Stamping... Now called RESTORATION.

Just curious what you picked them up for. I may have heard, seen or dreamed it somewhere that the last style Recoil plates...aka (Cast) were the best fit for the cut out shape used on these IR stocks. I'll try to look tomorrow to see if that's true.
As far as me and stocks... Prolly best handled via a PM or Email

As a matter of fact the crack he repaired is in the same location as the OI stock I have. But no I did not get these stocks from this shyster and his fake stamps. ( for lack of a better word. )

I think what you are seeing is not just 'MC' - I think it's 'M1C' (M1
Carbine). You have an 'Israeli' stock that was on the six-digit Inland when they had it and the other markings are not U.S. or Israeli - appear to be done by someone at some time with a die set and a few minutes' time.

Especially since I started on the original Culver forum. That had to be about 1998.

Inland your 100% correct. The markings are fake of that I am sure. I would think someone did it to make the stock more attractive to an unknowing buyer.
