    Yes, I still prefer the clear plastic inserts for the sights. Have a couple of more converts here after seeing them. I believe I got those from Champion Shooter's Supply.

    Is it the 50K S/N that is in the family museum? Was partial to that one always regret letting it go. Got both of those at the North Store.

    what works for me on canvas slings is to just run it through the dishwasher with about 1/2 as much powder as usual. the canvas don't bounce around. just hang it outside to dry.
    the old lady don't like it much but she don't like anything very much, including me..

    Edited to update that the belt I found this week is a M1917 cartridge belt. 25 years older than expected. Cool. What are they worth in "good" condition? Not very good, just good.
