Every now and then I get the chance to take a non-gun person out to show them what they’re missing. After dusting a couple clays and shattering the missed ones with my Carbine, they’re converted.
The carbine NEVER fails to make someone smile.

JB,
Meant to Welcome you to the forum!
Won't be any shooting round here for me for a while.
Trying to sit or stand still in -10 to -20 Wind chill is Too much for this guy.
I can ice fish in it, but I move from hole to hole and have my heated shanty I can warm up in.
So for now I just keep poking along reloading and working on some carbine projects.
I don't do the indoor range but will walk out back to the river bank and drop a mag or two when I just 'Have to'.
I seen that Circular shape on top of... behind the front sight blade in your picture. I'm curious if that might be a Bavarian style (?) marking we've seen before, which I believe has a 2 digit number in it like 62.. etc? But IIRC we'd seen this on the side of the outer ear of the sight...... So... Yeah I'm curious
Look forward to more pictures and a parts break down on it. If you decide to buy it.
See the Circle?

Please stop putting the .30 carbine round in the carbine muzzle - it proves nothing. If you actually have not figured it out yet, the bullets are the same caliber and diameter but the carbine bullet is much shorter and after it is pushed into the case, part of the curvature of the point, or 'ogive', is actually either in the case or right at the end of the case. This causes the muzzle of most any carbine to take the .30 Carbine round just about up to the brass. The M2 Ball round has the long spire-point bullet more out of the case so that a length of the straight wall is outside the case which allows proper gauging of the muzzle.

Especially since I started on the original Culver forum. That had to be about 1998.

BTW, the carbine round is actually not a true .308. It is .3075 diameter. So you really can't get a true picture of wear using one. That extra .005 makes a big difference.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
