Price-out Japanese
helmets on ebay. Wifey might be surprised how much the whole "ensemble" is worth.

The bayo turned out to be a Toyo Kogo with only one stamp. Bayo does not match.
The rifle is a Type 99 Series 2 by Nagota. Serial number is 45887.
Anybody got a functioning 99 bolt?

Neat find! Looks like Numrich has complete 99 bolts.

Wow! $104. for the 99 bolt. My rifle will have to stay a lamp for awhile longer.

Rifle bolts turn up fairly often on Gunbroker.

I checked some other sources for bolts. Poppert's has a type 99 bolt for $65. But then you get into manufacturor, series, and such. It's like asking to buy a front bumper for your car. Do you want it to match, or can it come from any make, model or year. The type 99 rifle series are varied, and unique to what stage of the war they were made.
So, on second thought, keep the "lamp" as it is. A rare piece of "trench-art", and look for an intact Japanese
rifle. You can probably find a nice one at a reasonable price.
Good luck!
