Note the writers use of the word 'ALL'.

Excellent read, I have to assume the FN manufactured carbine stocks were void of any markings. Thank you for posting.

Pretty obvious I missed that.... and I even replied in it I had came across this elsewhere yesterday and wanted to share it.
I'll add that link below so you can read the replies from then if interested.

My concerns about the article was the use of the word ALL by the author. The dates don't jive with many of our troops and their gear having already moved on to the PTO.
It is what it is I guess..... But don't believe everything you read.

A giant make-work project. It looks like they are all hitting it a lick doesn't it Charlie? There was probably a guy who walked around and woke people up. These poor folks had just had a German enema for four years and if you've ever read about how the Germans robbed these folks blind with rationing and confiscation you would see why nobody is smiling. Limiting a Belgian/Frenchman to a liter of wine a month and maybe a quarter lb of meat a week. Like a forced Jenny Craig program. A parting gift was to round up all of the Jews and kill them at Auschwitz as they were leaving. I wouldn't go to Germany if you paid my way.
This is a great recommendation for mid to late 44 carbines. Lived in a store house or were carried around by a cook or Lt and never fired or fired a little. The NRA $20 guns are full of these. No correcting required.

You watch too much Hollywood. England should never have started that war. America should never have joined in Europe. This discussion is exactly the same as Abe Lincoln's war being about slavery, the South only had it and slave holders always beat and raped their greatest investments.

By "You watch too much Hollywood" are you talking about the Jews being killed? Read "Ordinary Men" by Christopher Browning. You'll get an idea of what those SS and Police units were all about. Or you might read "The Taste of War" by Lizzie Collingham. It will tell you about Goering's plan to starve hundreds of thousands of "Useless Eaters" when they went into Russia. There were camps all over Germany that were full of people who were taken from their country and made to work until they died, Eastern Europeans Italians, Frenchmen Russians." Britain should have never started that war? Hitler was gobbling up all of his neighbors, stripping their treasuries of gold, hard currency, foreign assets and replacing them with Monopoly money. Austria, the Sudetanland, followed by the rest of Czec., Poland was on the list. France had as much to say about it as England. If that war had not started when it did, there was a very real chance that the Germans would win. If Hitler had delayed the Russian invasion for one year they would have won.

There were hundreds of Jews and part Jews that lied about their race and served in the Waffen SS and regular army. The Germans were nice enough to give the WW1 Jewish war heroes their ride to Treblinka in first class coaches before gassing them. I wouldn't go to Germany if you paid my way.

A few small things to remember about the latter part of WW twice... First off the military really did expect horrific casualties in the certain to come "invasion of Japan"..... No one except a very few had any hint of a new weapon that would make an invasion not needed so every effort was being made to prep up for the great upcoming focus on Japan after the European side of things was finally resolved...

Anyone in areas already re-taken from German occupation were not only in bad shape from the occupation -but were literally on the front lines of the combat needed to re-take their lands after D-Day... The workers you see in that factory were among the lucky... they actually had work (and the food it probably came with) when everyone else they knew was standing in line for whatever the allies were able to provide... Add to all of that, folk in Europe had probably had enough of "government" to last them forever by that time.
They'd watched the rise of Germany and the total inability of their leaders to cope or prevent what was coming - plus the occupation years with all that entailed as neighbor took advantage of neighbor and some of their countrymen willingly aided the conquerors... I'm sure that anyone (even someone with only a camera....) from any form of "government" was regarded as someone to be wary of...

I don't have one word to say to anyone that is willing to believe the revisionist history that even hints that the war, when it came... was not absolutely necessary...

My parents were married in D.C. towards the end of the war - Dad a young Engineer officer, Mom a Canadian working in D.C. As the war ended my Dad was posted to Germany , a young second lieutenant in charge of an Engineer company that was doing re-construction work. My Mom was able to join him in 1946 (the plane for dependents went down the week before so she was able to get a seat - a minor miracle in those days...). I was born in an Army hospital in Germany in 1948 and grew up on stories about those early years after the war... and was lucky enough to be an Army brat as our family moved from here to there. I swear that my brother and I were dragged through half the museums in Europe as we grew up.... I didn't know we were doing anything out of the ordinary until I was around 15 and my Dad drew his first posting to Vietnam...

As always the histories of various conflicts will describe the story how the writers want it to be - not actually what happened.. But in the case of that conflict -it was a righteous cause that needed to occur, even though a lot of bad things happened along the way - but that's war. I only did a short tour in Vietnam myself when I was old enough.. I was never a combat soldier - and only got shot at once or twice.. Anyone who's ever been in a war zone has learned that it's not something to look forward to or praise. Sometimes though, the alternative is worse...

So, you put out a lot of propaganda to debunk, Dave. But here's a few. Sudetenland was Germans stolen from Germany by the Allies in WWI out of Prussia. The Poles were brutalizing them and disenfranchising them to favor their own ethnic Slavic nationals. They wanted reunification, and protection. Germany wanted them back and the international comm was understanding of the problem they had created. Czecs were invented from nothing to weaken the same German ethnic groups out of WWI. Poland, yes, was targeted from restructuring especially for the way they were brutalizing the Sudetenland's ethnic Germans. Austria willingly bonded with Germany.

The German government lied for those Jews to allow bunches to remain in military service. Check the known officers and enlisted who served. Why would a Jew want to support Germany? Because he was a nationalist. The rest declared they were not Germans and not beholden to German ways. I checked the roles of Dachau and there were people there with some of my family names, so it's not far removed from me. Half of America was German in the mid 1850s, so your family is prob part. During WWII the Allies raped over 1 million German women as they marched to Berlin. "8 to 80" is still the known mantra. They really enjoyed doing that in churches. The Allies still hold the record for worst maritime atrocities committed against civilians as they murdered Germans on civilian ships-like the Wilhem Gustloff sinking. Soviets also demanded their troops to "Kill the German (civilians)." `'Measure your victories not by the mile taken, but by the number of Germans you kill.' The Allies starved 2 million Bengals to death and about half a million people in Greece.
People died in the German camps, and it was mainly from Typhus. We have the records of it, and the Red Cross numbers state 270,000 died in all camp systems. Political pressure forced them in modern times to equivocate. Eisenhower, Churchill, Stalin, DuGaul all wrote memoires of the war. Interestingly None mentioned the holocaust. Read Norman Finkelstein. Maybe even David Cole, who are both Jewish. The camps are the fault of the German government. NO doubt!

The Allies created the ability for a Hitler. You obviously read and know about the Weimar Republic where Germans were starved to the point of selling their children into sex slavery to the international goons who were buying up city blocks to rent-slave the Germans. The same people who were promoting debauchery and disgusting deviant behavior beyond what San Fran sees today. Germany out of WWI was being systematically and deliberately preyed on by these people through the Treaty of Versailles. And it was the same groups then as are doing the same today in The West and I know how you feel about what's going on today. It's just that you haven't made the connection yet that they are the same as in the 1930s.

The perfect storm created Hitler and the NSDAP. Nationalism was the norm in the world then (English documentaries on TV today call nationalism a "sickness"). I know you don't agree with that label. When the the NSDAP took control and instilled their 25 points to heal the victimized society they also kicked out the central bankers who inflated Weimar Germany's money to near infinity. Judea oficiallly declared war on Germany in March of 1933 (economic war--you can find the headlines online by typing JUDEA DECLARES WAR ON GERMANY), because Adolf kicked their version of the Fed Reserve bank to the curb. That's when books were written that the German people had to be erased from the Planet. Not just forced back into debt servitude. Genocided. The rich banker oligarchs started the ball rolling.

The war was started when England (yes, I know the claim is 'Britain', but it's England who did it) and France declared war. America joined when The Allies were the communists. Communists you would agree looking back that we should not have armed all through the war, fed them, made communism physically healthy and strong. The Allies all through the war fostered communists throughout Europe (today's antifa) against the fascist Italians and National Socialist Germany. And while the war was still ongoing Eisenhower, Churchhill and Stalin agreed which European countries would go under communist rule. Check the Yalta Conference in Feb 1945. But we were told we saved Europe in school. Tell the 9 European Iron Curtain nations that. Shrunken heads, lampshades and soap were all debunked as a psych operation invented by American military. The Poles and Soviets lied so much after the war that it's just astounding. And after the war as many as 3 million Germans died in Eisenhower's camps. They were given no shelter, no food.

We would never have the Carbine we both love without American participation. I know I won't change your mind on WWII. But as a result of WWII it's a felony level crime in Europe to speak the truth if it offends someone. In Canada the truth was declared to be no defense.

There are always 2 sides to every story; actually 3: both sides will say why they went to war, then the victor will have their say. None of them are completely right, nor are they completely wrong. For instance, Japan went to war because of economic strangulation by the US. Germany was suffering from the depredation placed on it as a result of the surrender in WWI. Every side committed some atrocities. Look at the fire bombing of civilians committed by England and the US. War is caused by politicians, not by the people. Neither side is innocent. Both of you guys are correct in some respects and wrong in others. The more you study the causes and political climates the more likely you are to realize that it was the politics of the time that were the cause. The end results were the politicians trying to retain power and control of their people. No matter how you look at it it was a shameful episode for mankind.
