This were built at CAS Base Gagetown by a Weapon Tech to make a stiff one piece mount. A C3 PVS 502 one piece base was modified for a pair of Parker Hale RALS.4 rings, hand fitted to the C3 and lapped. I sure this was time consuming; they are rugged; well built. Each base as marked with the C3 serial number. Parker Hale developed a one piece base for the C3a1 and the M85 similar in concept however you do not see many on the market. Rare and Pricey.

Looks like the tech modified this type of NATO STANAG base rather than building from scratch.

That's correct uae the base shown. An option on the C3 was the PVS502 Starlight Night Vision an it fits the C3 steel scope bases.. The 502 base was machined and as well as the ring bases then fitted together. Someone was thinking. Ron (Canada
