Are all your screws tight ?, is the barrel lift poundage correct ? Furniture correctly fitted ?
3"-4" at 100 yards is 6"-8" at 200 yards.
The maximum acceptable allowance was a 6" x 6" at 200 yards.
No 4 RIFLE TESTING
For the No 4 Rifle, the accuracy test was the same at 100ft ten per cent of all rifles were then fired at 200 yds when six of seven shots had to fall in a rectangle 6in x 6in , the point of mean impact having to be within 3 inches of the point of aim in any direction. Ten per cent of rifles fired at 200 yds were again fired at 600 yds when 6 out of seven shots had to be in a rectangle 18 inches x 18 inches the permissible deviation of point of mean impact being 9 inches up or down, or left or right. Two per cent of rifles were fired from the shoulder, ten rounds being fed into the magazine by charger and fired rapid to test “feeding up” and ejection. After these tests the barrel was inspected to ensure that there was no expansion in the bore or chamber and that it shaded correctly from end to end. (Was not bent)
That was the maximum, a properly assembled rifle would be around half-of that.
With my Savage No4 Mk1, lying prone I am getting around 1MoA.
Two warming rounds (at 10 O'Clock) and then 5 rounds
Wind Right to Left 12-15mph, ammunition 174gr Prvi FMJ, lying prone with elbow support.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

Thanks much for the quote from the standard.
I haven't played with the bedding of either of those not-new rifles, nor have I done any load testing to tune. I don't expect much from the "target" rifle with all that cordite erosion. The other one ("Doug") saw some very wet service and the stock shows it.
Here is my thread for the "target" rifle. https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=72890&page=1. There is a 3 shot target from 100yds towards the end, with my "test" load data, chosen only because it was from the middle of the mild data from one of my data books. It took a few trips to get this rifle on paper as the front sight was loose in it's dovetail, and was the staked type.
Here is the thread for the other rifle (my first enfield, and my first post on milsurps)...https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=69781. There is 25yd target there with a 1MOA group, but I get ~3-4" at 100yds.
